Two weekends ago we went to Medina for the Annual Friendship retreat which is a reunion between Neil's mom's youth group from the church she grew up in. It ends up being a sort of family reunion for Elaine's side of the family and one of the only times we get to see Neil's aunts, uncles and cousins. We also visit with family friends who have known Neil since he was a little boy. One of the families we visited told us their son just announced that he and his wife are adopting from Ethiopia!! We had a lot to talk about =)
The girls are getting old enough to really enjoy their time out at the camp! They played and got all dirty and we even got a chance to get into Medina for the pumpkin patch. We had a blast! My girls are getting good wear out of their pumpkin shirts =) Here they are on the hayride...
Big girl Claire
They loved the petting zoo
Neil and Claire on the tractor train ride - this thing was fast!
Eden and me holding on for dear life!
The girls each got a pony ride
It was Eden's first time!! She's always been too hesitant to ride even though she loves to pet and see the horses
Big girl riding her horse!
Isn't this tree amazing?
It was a perfect hiding spot for the girls
Here they are with their second cousin Annabelle who traveled with her parents from Colorado
The kids having their "experiment" in the tree trunk!
Looking forward to next year and hopefully having more family there!

What a wonderful outing to plan on annualy! Family ties can never be broken and making a fun get-together every year for the girls (and you two) is something that is glue to happy memories!
